A Community-Based Voter Education Program was held on  February 25, 2026, at Ward No. 1 of  Mayadevi Rural Municipality, and on February 26, 2026, at Ward No. 7 of Kapilvastu Municipality in the Kapilvastu district. The session was facilitated by Sanjay Pasee.The program was successfully conducted with the Mayadevi Rural Municipality with  54 (50 female and 4 male) and Kapilvastu Municipality with 53 (48 female and 5 male).The main objective of the program was to provide voters with knowledge and skills related to their duties and right to vote freely and without fear, the voting process, the election code of conduct and overall awareness needed while casting their vote. A mock voting session was also conducted to help prevent invalid votes.The Voting Education Programs successfully strengthened participant’s knowledge and practical skills regarding Nepal’s electoral system and voting procedures. The combining of theoretical orientation and practical mock voting proved highly effective. The interactive and participatory approach significantly enhanced learning outcomes. The participants from women and marginalized communities, who often have limited access to accurate electoral information.
