On 28th February, 2026(16 falgun,2082)Community Based Voter Education Program was held at Tusal Youth Club, Ward No. 4, Kirtipur Municipality. The session was facilitated by Ms. Gita Aryal and the program objectives and monitoring were led by Ms. Man Kumari Bk, Executive Director of Dalit Women Network.The program was successfully conducted with the 50 (45 female 5 Male 5), Women from Dalit and marginalized communities in Kirtipur Municipality.The main objective of the program was to provide voters with knowledge and skills related to their duties and right to vote freely and without fear, the voting process, the election code of conduct and overall awareness needed while casting their vote. A mock voting session was also conducted to help prevent invalid votes.The Voting Education Programs successfully strengthened participant’s knowledge and practical skills regarding Nepal’s electoral system and voting procedures. The combining of theoretical orientation and practical mock voting proved highly effective. The interactive and participatory approach significantly enhanced learning outcomes. The participants from women and marginalized communities, who often have limited access to accurate electoral information.
