Formation and Mobilization of women’s group and youth/adolescent group – Dalit Women Network

First step beyond boundaries – Our inaugural outreach in Kapilvastu municipality,On,14th May,2025 programme was held on Tilaurakot Hotel , Taulihawa, kapilvastu .The programme, attended by 54 participants 46 Female and 6 male .Under the expected outcome of the Hamro Sahas project, titled “Engagement of Local Government and Citizens to Prevent Gender-based Violence through Social Norms Change”, women and youth/adolescents’ group of each formed and mobilized, focusing on the Dalit community in the wards 6,7, and 8 of Kapilvastu Municipality. The group mobilized effectively in preventing and responding to gender-based violence, caste-based discrimination, and untouchability against Dalit women through changing social norms and discriminatory practices.
